Burner Valve Rebuild Information

And help on removing burner valves for rebuilding

We do not sell valve cream for valves

There are several reasons why we do not.

We feel that the general public is not trained nor licensed to work with gas related items. There are several safety factors that are involved. One of the most important reasons is that the general public will not have the testing equipment. After 50 plus years who knows what parts have failed inside the valve. Do you the general public have replacements of failed parts. We would guess not. Will the valve cream miraculously repair the failed parts? We don't think so!

Sure you could just take the valve apart and add some valve cream inside it and hope for the best, but do you want to put yourself, your family and your home at risk?

You are dealing with gas!

Then you need to ask yourself are you sure you reinstall the parts correctly? Are you sure you sealed the valve correctly. Are you sure that you do not have any leaks.... no matter how slight?

There is a lot more to rebuilding valves than just adding some valve cream inside a valve. So don't let some DO-IT-YOURSELF CLUB that doesn't do restorations of antique stoves tell you that valve cream is all you need to repair your valves.

The burner valves can also be rebuilt to turn and function properly. Valves in need of a rebuild often are difficult to turn and sometimes they even leak gas.
